Burgaw Autumn Harvest

Please join Burgaw Now and The North Carolina Blueberry Festival for a delicious, seasonally crafted dinner, featuring Chef Dean Neff.

Chef Neff (James Beard Award Semi-Finalist) will take us on an inspired culinary journey through the rich food history of Burgaw, North Carolina. This unique event will take place at one of the oldest train depot's in America, dating back to before The Civil War.

This is surely an event not to miss!

Chef Dean Neff
Dean Neff, former head chef and restaurant partner of Wilmington's PinPoint restaurant, was named as one of the James Beard Award semi-finalists for, “Best Chef: Southeast." Neff envisions his next restaurant being a part of the community and continuing to tap into the roots of Southern cooking or seasonal ingredients yet enhance it with other techniques of French and Spanish cooking. Neff also is slated for a new radio show on WHQR, “A Place at the Table,” which will launch on March 6 as part of “Coastline.”

NC Blueberry Festival
The NC Blueberry Festival Association has been organized to advance the general education of and the promotion of blueberries and tourism. Founded in 2003, the NC Blueberry Festival is Burgaw's annual community event. Held on the third Saturday in June, the Blueberry Festival provides an opportunity for people to enjoy a full day of family entertainment while experiencing the southern hospitality of a small town.

"The mission of PATH is to provide access to an Integrated System of Care for Pender County youth, their families, teachers and staff."

PATH operates two School Based Health Centers at Pender High and Cape Fear Middle/Elementary. Attending students who are enrolled in the PATH program can seek medical attention right at school. All other Pender County Schools are connected via their TeleHealth network.
